Work Hard, No Regrets -- Email from 26

Well this week was pretty good! We worked really hard and although we didn’t have anyone that made it to church this Sunday, I know that we did everything possible to help our investigators attend. Last week we found a lot of really good people that we are going to work with, and hopefully this next week we can have a couple of people in the church. It’s funny that sometimes when we work hard and fail, if we give it our all we aren’t sad. I have no regrets about this last week. I’m writing today because yesterday we had a giant activity as a mission and it was really good. We played soccer, basketball, ate hamburgers and watched the new movie from the church, meet the Mormons. It was sick, and we had the opportunity to see everyone in the mission. It was a huge pump up because up to now in the year we haven’t had as much success as we did the last year as a mission, so the president wanted to get everyone good and motivated.

As for me I’m doing well. I’m starting to put on a little weight again which is really awesome. I’m working hard, and trying to improve my Spanish slowly. Also yesterday I got your package and it was really good. Thanks for the meds, razors, shirts, candy, and especially that quilt. I slept with it last night and I was pretty happy with a nice blanket instead of a blanket of wool that’s just super heavy. That’s about all I have to write about today, and I will be on next Monday bright and early to chat. Will send photos.

Target Setting and Motivation -- Email from 18 May 2015

Buenos Aires! And our little villa in front.
This week was pretty good. We worked hard, and I really forced myself to go out of my comfort zone to talk to more people. I have been trying to talk to at least like ten new people every day about the church and it doesn’t sound like that much but it is actually really difficult. But I’ve been doing it to find more investigators that are going to progress towards baptism. As of right now we have a couple of possibilities, but nobody that is super solid as a baptism. I have been having troubles this week getting my companion motivated, he is a little dead and doesn’t really want to talk with that many people. But all in all this was a good week and I have been growing a lot.
My stomach is getting a little better. I went to the doctors and they told me that I don’t have anything in my stomach that is causing these problems, so it’s just my stomach that I need to get figured out. I’m starting to put on a little weight though, so that’s really good, and hopefully I can keep improving regularly, but keep me in your prayers. We are going to go eat lunch, but I will probably be on later to talk for a bit.

Thanks. Love you all.

Baptism and Transfers -- Email from 05 May 2015

Janet and the members of the ward too!
This week was really good. One, I can’t believe that we are already in May. Two, we worked really hard and our work paid off because we had a baptism Sunday! Oh yeah! Janet was baptized this week approximately 8 days after we found her. She is a beast, and was really prepared for the gospel. So that was a miracle and we finished the transfer with her baptism. Then, we got the notice that we will be staying together another transfer to work here. Hopefully we can have another transfer with even more success.

We went to the hospital this Wednesday to see if I have something wrong with my stomach. They put me on a pretty strict diet and I have to only eat stuff that is good and healthy for me, like rice, chicken and other stuffs like that. Also I’m not allowed to drink anymore water from the tap. I am going to keep doing a bunch of tests to see if they can figure out what I have, or if I just have the same thing that grandpa has a weak stomach. I weighed in at 169. Ha-ha I don’t really fit into my suits anymore ha-ha they are both to big on me. I’m going to eat a lot this transfer so that I can gain weight again. Oh also, the elder from Chile said that his family hasn’t received the package yet. I don’t know if you guys want to talk to the family to make sure everything was right or not. I’m going to send pictures and everything’s well here. Sell the house and buy another if you guys want!

And I am going to get on to skype you at 5 o clock this Sunday. I’m going to get on with the same name so just call me or if you have another name let me know.
